MusiCAD has enough features to accomodate all sort of drum kit notation.

Although standard drum kit notation isn't really available - there are several "standards" - MusiCAD can adapt to all such standards.

As with all voices with complex notation, when entering notes you should first find the route along the shortest notes. In this case the hihat has a beat on every 1/8, so that's easy: select 1/8 duration using <8> drop a note on the top line of the staff (at the G5 location) with <Enter> and use <shift X> to change the dot in an X. Repeat that 8 times.

By the way, the open hihat requires <shift-Y> instead of <shift-X>

Now we have to deal with the two fast notes 1/16 at C5 and D4 followed by a G5 at 1/8. Asuming overwrite mode is switched on, just split the seventh 1/8 note in two using <F7>. Use the arrow key down to arrive at C5 and hit <Insert> to add the snaredrum-dot at C5. move right to the second 1/16th and move that to the intended position using <->. Use <shift-X> to make it a dot again.

Back to the first note, and add a bassdrum at D4 using <insert>. To add the snaredrum at C5 use <insert> once more at the correct position. That's about it.
