A tune's meter is usually specified with two digits on top of each other, and you will be prompted for the desired meter when creating a new tune.
To insert a meter-change or alter the current meter you'll need the meter menu
MusiCAD supports a wide range of irregular meters, supplying default subdivision if necessary. Irregular meters can be displayed in number of ways:
8/8 will be displayed as such and played as 3+3+2
3+2+3)/8 will be displayed as 8/8
3+2+3)/8 will be displayed as 8/8
03+2+3/8 will be displayed as common meter
003+2+3/8 will be displayed as divided common meter
